How to activate and configure SpamAssasinSpamAssassin uses a wide variety of local and network tests to identify spam signatures and protect your email accounts from spam, scam or undesired messages. It requires very little configuration and you do not need to continually update it with details of your mail accounts or other personal information.
You can enable the SpamAssassin filter for your account via your cPanel -> SpamAssassin icon.
On the next page, please click on the Enable SpamAssassin button.
SpamAssassin uses a score system to flag messages. The score is generated on the principle of spam checks performed by the different algorithms. The default spam score above which messages are rejected is 5. If you would like to set more restrictive score you can do this via the configuration section of spam assassin. Please click on the Configure SpamAssassin button on the same page for additional configuration settings.
On the new page scroll down to the required score directive and apply the desired value.
After that click the Save button on the bottom of the page. Be advised that by default all messages with the applied score or above will be automatically deleted. If you would like to receive these messages but have them marked as spam you can disable the auto remove option. This can be done by clicking on the Disable Auto-Delete Spam button.
